PASAR BRANDING #2
Pasar
Branding UNNES is an event held by the department of fine arts in particular
UNNES especially for DKV Department. This event has been going on for two
periods and in 2014 the event is newly formed and implemented. In 2015 this
event continues and is named Pasar Branding #2.
The event was created to
showcase the work of visual communication design to increase the sale value and
the image of UMKM products in Central Java by means of the students take the
example of a product from one of the UMKM for their visualization into a
design. Before the students held a Pasar Branding, they have first selected by
making the results of their work and make a small exhibition in the central
library. Not only that but their works selected by the UMKM in Central Java and
several lecturers from Fine Arts faculty to choose some creative work and
deserves to be exhibited at the show later Pasar Branding.
Many some of the
students are disappointed and sad because they cannot work in showcase in Pasar
Branding event but parties of the Department of Fine Arts opens an opportunity
for some students who do not pass the selection stage to exhibit his work
unless they can make back their work with creative and can justify what should
be justified and that has been corrected by the team selectors. Parties from
the Department of Fine Arts held an exhibition aims to give a role to assist UMKM
in doing business. Besides of that, products that UMKM produce which may not
yet have its own brand and not yet widely known, with this event UMKM products
can be recognized and known by many people. In the 2015's, Pasar Branding#2
held on April 10 to 11 and the opening performed on April 10 at 07.00 pm and
held at Wisma Perdamaian around the area Tugu Muda Semarang.
This event took
place during the two-day festive because they also get links from well-known
products in Semarang and Semarang government. Its strategic location makes the
visitors came together. On the one hand, the event took place very success and
not boring because it is not only branding exhibition presented at the event,
but also there are some entertainment such as music, talk show together leading
designer, pantomime, and much more. In addition visitors can take pictures
selfie in photo booth that had been prepared.
The most unique thing in this
event is there is a mascot named Jarwo. Jarwo is a horse because at the time
the Pasar Branding in the first period held in horse years and the horse is
fast and agile so that it was fit to be the mascot of this event In the event
there are also some booths that sell merchandise from the show such as
t-shirts, mugs, totte bag, and others. The last event on April 11, there DKV
Award is intended to reward and appreciation on some students who have creative
and innovative ways to produce their work well short film, best actress, best
design, and so on.
Actually,
this event originally was as a final project in the lecture, but the event is
growing and is expected to play a role in economic life, especially for UMKM.
In the implementation and manufacture of this event, not only the students who
qualify are actively involved in this event, but also the entire student class
of 2012 contribute and help each other so that this event can be done well.
